Wayo Little Green Camp - The Facts
Little Green Camp follows suit of the other Wayo Camps, taking up locations in the more remote areas of the Serengeti, but still being in the prime wildlife viewing regions.
Each of the 6 ‘star tents’ has its own en-suite bathroom, with bucket shower and compost toilet. The rooms get their name from the mesh-gauze that tops the rooms, which allows one to star-gaze as long as they can keep their eye open after an enthralling day on safari. If it rains however, the canvas can be rolled down by the camp’s staff to ensure no-one gets wet.
The main area consists of a comfy sofa or two, plus dining tables and a bar to provide everything one needs on an authentic safari experience.
The days here can consist of both walking and driving as the camp keeps up with the migrating herds of wildebeest. Walks can either be full days or half days with some of the best guides around. Walking allows guests to access areas vehicles can’t get to, be it rocky kopjes, drainage lines or the acacia woodlands.
We love getting away from the crowds and enjoying a true wilderness experience, which is exactly what the Wayo Camps can provide. Whether you want the slightly more luxurious Green Camp, it’s sibling, Little Green Camp or the exclusive use Walking Camp, you are sure to enjoy a pure, immersive Serengeti experience.
