We absolutely love the position of Kleins Campe; sitting raised on a hill with fantastic views into the Serengeti eco system, grab your binoculars and spend hours gazing over the surroundings trying to spot some of the Serengeti's inhabitants. The service and guiding at Kleins is some of the best in Tanzania which is hardly surprising as it is owned and run by &Beyond.

Located just outside the Serengeti National Park in the north of Tanzania. The camp is best accessed by light aircraft into Lobo airstrip, which has a daily schedule of flights from Arusha and other safari destinations in North Tanzania.

Klein’s own the immediate land around the lodge which is great terrain for bush walks and exclusive game viewing. You won't find any crowds here enabling intimate and private sightings. The camp is located astride a hill, with views out across the hills and Serengeti safari plains of this area of the Serengeti/Loliondo.

The main area of the lodge is made of stone with a thatched roof and open sides - allowing you to always take in the views. The whole feel of the place is more that of a permanent lodge as opposed to a tented camp, which are more often found in the Serengeti. An excellent dining area and bar form the centre of the lodge where you meet with you guide to discuss your activities and sightings.

For those who wish to experience a honeymoon like no other, this is our pick. The 10 stone and thatched cottages are evenly spaced out on the hillside with great views, classic furnishings and a relaxed homely feel. Klein’s offers an array of safari activities as it is just outside the Serengeti Park border.

The camp offers night drives, bush walks within its concession area, as well as game drives inside the Serengeti as well. For those interested in visiting a local village and experiencing the Masaai culture, a day trip to Ololosokwan is a nice extra option to have.

When staying at Klien's it is imperative to make the most of the private concession and the additional activities allowed there, which is why combining it with a camp in the Serengeti itself is recommended.
