The riding is based at Sasakwa but available to guests at all Singita lodges. It is included in the price (I was very positively surprised by this) and they test your ability before you are able to ride out. You need to be a pretty decent standard.
Faru Faru food has an Asian fusion touch (we loved this) whereas Sasakwa is more French/fine dining.
Rooms 1-4 have the view of the watering holes and in my opinion are the best (we were room 3). We saw a baby elephant (which thought it was drowning!) being saved by its mother and the whole herd, whilst eating our lunch, which was remarkable.
A lot of guests were very envious of our direct route to Zanzibar from Faru – thank you for arranging those flights!!
There is no shop (at least not for anything practical). But…We forgot our sunscreen – don’t worry, they have it and of course you don’t need to pay ;) ! they have thought of everything.
At Sasakwa, where you get a much bigger “house” with a dipping pool etc and more facilities, which is nice to have at the end to relax a bit more.
Lunch at Sasakwa was quite an experience; they showed us round the whole lodge after lunch including the cottages. It was all quite amazing but, you judged it correctly, totally over the top for us to stay there.
