Day 1
Arrive into Kilimanjaro Airport and transfer to Rivertrees Country Inn. You will be able to make use of the swimming pool and the lovely gardens here. Bed and breakfast are included, whilst dinner and drinks are extra.
Day 2
Morning Arusha city tour and mid-morning transfer to the South of Manyara National Park. Enjoy lunch at the Magara Waterfalls and mid-afternoon mountain bike ride to the Southern gate of Manyara National Park. Late afternoon game drive to the camp. Arrive at Manyara Green Camp nestled at the bottom of the beautiful Endabash waterfall - a reliable fresh water source for the local wildlife. Sundowners by the waterfall and dinner under the stars.
Day 3
Start the day with a canoe safari on Lake Manyara, various game drive options are available too. Sundowners on the waterfalls, swimming in the rock pools and a night drive before spending the night back at Manyara Green Camp.
Day 4
Early morning game drive out of Manyara, enjoy a treetop walkway enroute out of the park followed by a guided walk through the farming village of Mto Wa Mbu and sampling of local cuisine in a banana plantation. Afternoon transfer to Karatu and Plantation Lodge to overnight in this lovely property with great gardens and amazing meals. Drinks are not included here.
Day 5
Descend onto the Ngorongoro Crater floor for a game drive; a famed activity around the world. This tranquil area is rich in wildlife
and was one of the first regions to become protected so wildlife is in abundance. There are usually opportunities to view Rhino here. You will enjoy a packed lunch along your route. After leaving the crater, you will head to Mysigio Camp to overnight and enjoy meeting the Maasai in the evening.
Day 6
Depart after breakfast for a drive up through the Serengeti with a packed lunch en-route. Head out to the remote Serengeti Green Camp and enjoy sundowners before overnighting here. Depending on the time of year, and where the migration is situated will determine the location of Serengeti Green Camp.
Day 7
Enjoy morning and afternoon game viewing activities including the aim of spotting the migration before heading back to camp in time for sundowners and dinner.
Day 8
Head out again for game viewing activities, exploring new areas of the Serengeti. Sundowners then dinner under the stars at Serengeti Green Camp.
Day 9
Early morning game drive out of the area and drive to the nearest airstrip for your flight over the plains back to Arusha. Transfer to Rivertrees for use of a dayroom and transfer back to Kilimanjaro Airport for your onward flight.
Optional extra activities like a hot air balloon safari or trip extensions to Zanzibar or Uganda/Rwanda (and other areas of Africa) are all possible.
