Nasikia Migration Camp - The Facts
This light-footed camp ups sticks and moves twice a year between Kogatende (Northern Serengeti) and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area (Southern Serengeti) ensuring you can witness the most dramatic points of the herds’ annual pilgrimage.
The camp comprises of ten Meru-style tented suites, with one being allocated to families. The rooms are spacious, home to all the bare necessities, with an array of furniture and storage space. The beds are large and comfortable and with the mesh netting underneath the canvas overlay on every side, you can enjoy views of the surrounding plains all day (and night) long, should you wish to.
Every room is equipped with its own en-suite, which includes bucket showers and flushing toilet. Being a mobile camp, each room and en-suite has solar power lighting that you can use at your convenience.
At the front of the tent, a little veranda allows you to watch the world go by during the middle of the day, between activities. It’s not uncommon to see herds of wildebeest grazing, or elephants browsing from the comfort of your tent.
The communal areas comprise of a lounge/bar area and a dining tent, all in the same Meru-style. This is where most guests spend their time when not on game drive. Being able to recline on a comfy sofa, with a book in one hand, whilst sipping a cool drink is what downtime on safari is all about!
Nasikia’s mobile migration camp ticks all the boxes for those seeking a no-frills, great value, tented camp experience in one of Africa’s most incredible National Parks.
