Kilindi was also a truly special spot on the gorgeous Indian Ocean. The 3 day safari followed by 4 days relaxing on the beach was just right.
You did a great job re the accomm – we always had a tent at the ‘end of the line’ at the Camps so were surrounded by the “bush” – the Kilindi accomm was amazing – again at the ‘end of the line’ and closest to beach so had the best view at the resort !!! – looked straight onto beach & water – Well done !!!!!
Kilindi was truly amazing such a fantastic experience! They just spoil you with great food, service amazing gardens and warm seas. You get pampered like royalty with your own personal butler who is just amazing!!
We weren’t really won over by this place to be honest. The beach is poor - I had understood the problem was that there were local fishermen which some people don’t like but I think it is more than this. The beach is narrow and lots of sharp stones and sea urchins. We never saw anyone lying on the beach in the time we were there. Also, after the wonderful and so personal service at Ras Kutani and Siwandu we found the service here a little disappointing. The concept of your own personal butler sounds luxurious but actually came across as a way to cut staff costs! Our butler was covering a couple of rooms and there were times when eg we had to wait for our dinner later than we had asked for it because he was busy dealing with the other room. The rooms are amazing though!
5/5 -> Another WOW! What an extremely nice hotel! Super friendly staff and an incredible amount of privacy. The villa’s are absolutely perfect and the pool is stunning! The GM came across a bit arrogant but we did not see him too much, so that was great :)
Stunning venue. It was pure luxury.
The villa was stunning, we loved the bathroom, plunge pool living room area.
It was so nice to be able to have our meals wherever we fancied and the food and drink was incredible and such high standard for all inclusive.
The only negatives here were once again the sea wasn’t that great, the beach was beautiful but as it is by a fishing port the sea wasn’t very deep and the sea floor was a bit slimy.
Also we found the staff to be slightly more arrogant and not as friendly as Ras Kutani and Siwandu, however they were still very helpful and polite.
This venue was the perfect way to end a honeymoon.
Kilindi was also great, we had a huge area (courtyard leading into the multi room pavilion) to ourselves, and Andrew the manager there was great on the ground as well. I'm allergic to seafood but my wife loved the seafood at Kilindi so that was great.
We loved Kilindi, it was right up our street. It’s not the type of place for everyone but for us it was a very good fit. They could do with a touch up here and there on the property but the service was excellent as was the food and location.
