Anna of Zanzibar - The Facts
Anna is situated on the South East coast of Zanzibar near the village of Bwejuu. It is on the same spectacular beach as the big chain of Breezes, The Palms and Baraza. It is a small German managed and owned property that has a much more homely feel than its more ‘resort style’ neighbours.
There are just 5 stylish villas, spacious enough to house triples, quads and families but not by any means feeling over the top if booked for just a couple. This makes Anna perfect for honeymoons and families alike. The cottage style rooms surround a lovely garden and swimming pool and the attentive waiters constantly float around to acquiesce to the guests every need. They do their utmost to make sure that you are as comfortable and relaxed as possible. The food is fresh and lovely, especially the sea food BBQ.
The staff at Anna will efficiently organise any activities that tickle your fancy. Nothing is far away, so snorkelling, spice tours and
Stone Town are all within easy reach and available at a reasonable cost with reliable local operators. It doesn’t quite have the facilities of its larger neighbours but this is in keeping withe more intimate and boutique style that Anna is aiming for, and this said the spa is extremely good. A great value choice for a
honeymoon destination!
